When your lease is about to end here are few things to remember:
• DEPOSIT: Fill in your account info on the tenant pages for getting back the deposit (all obligations from your part needs to be fulfilled, for example rents, cleaning, etc.). Please note that the deposit is usually returned within 4 weeks after your contract has ended (not counted from the actual moving out date but from the contract ending date).
For getting back your deposit money your bank account information needs to be correctly informed in the tenant pages. Your bank account information needs to be in an IBAN format and we need the BIC code also (usually all European accounts have these). If you don’t have an account with IBAN information (usually concerning non-European bank accounts), then you need to inform the bank account number and the name of the account owner and the home address of this person, and also the name of the bank and the address of the bank and SWIFT code. If you have questions related to your account’s information, please contact your bank for getting the right information. This information has to provided by the tenant to TYS. • CLEANING: Remember to clean the apartment/your room properly and empty all your things from cabinets, closets, kitchen etc. The cleaning is checked after moving out and before getting the deposit back. TYS will deliver some additional dumpsters in the courtyards of the Student Villlage block 3 and Iltakajo in the begininng of May for those moving out.
• KEY: The key/key card has to be returned latest on the mid-day of the first working day of the month when your lease ends. If your lease ends on the 31st of May, the key has to be returned latest on the 1st of June at 12:00 (mid-day).

–or other option for those living in Varissuo is the office of Akseli Kiinteistöpalvelut Oy (address: Karvataskunkatu 1, entrance from the yard and a post box for keys on the right side on the wall)
If you leave outside office hours you can leave the key to Housing Office’s post box (on the front door) in an envelope with your name and address on it (TYS will provide some key return envelopes in the lobby of your building), or you can ask your friend to return it in time. Please don’t leave the keys to your room in any case, as then the key is seen missing and you might be charged for possibly consequences. We don’t recommend sending keys via post, as there is always a risk that it’s gone missing and tenant is responsible for possible charges related to missing keys.
