Taking your neighbours and roommates into consideration
Comfortable and enjoyable housing also includes taking your neighbours and roommates into consideration. TYS, together with housing committees, has ratified the rules and regulations (link) that all tenants commit to when accepting their apartment offer. These rules and regulation must be followed in TYS’ buildings and yard areas, in addition to normal laws and regulations.
Some pointers for comfortable housing:
• be sure to keep entrance doors locked to keep unauthorized people from entering buildings
• smoking is prohibited in all TYS apartments and shared spaces
• silent time is between 23.00–06.00
• tenants must ensure that their guests also follow regulations
You can have your say on your own building’s matters and get to know your neighbours through e.g. housing committees. Read more here, and welcome to tenant activities!
If for some reason your housing does not go as planned, or you run into problems with e.g. your neighbours or roommates, it is always best to clear up the situation with the person in question. If this doesn’t go as planned, TYS’ housing advisors can possibly help you settle the matter. Contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you want to make a complaint about a disturbance, please do so in writing and send it to: email@example.com or submit it via your Tenant Pages. Our customer service will then begin looking into the situation, including asking for statements from both involved parties. Please bear in mind that if your situation calls for authorities, contact them directly (e.g. criminal matters are handled by the police).
