Student Village Foundation of Turku (TYS) was established by the Student Union of University of Turku in 1966. The foundation builds, renovates, rents out and maintains student and youth apartments for students of educational institutions and working young people after they have finished their comprehensive schooling. TYS has apartments for around 7,000 people in Turku.
