Ironside has been built completely from steel. This was very exceptional in Finland during the 1990’s. In the building was used learnings of ship building. Architect Kari Haroma has designed the buildings.
Ironside is one of the two TYS’s housing complexes intended for youth residents. It is situated in the peaceful Ilpoinen area. Landscape is dominated by the nearby Peltola colonial gardens with its small cottages. Bus connections to the city centre are excellent, but also the daily services are found close by.
All apartments have direct Internet access (Kyläverkko connection). Apartments have cable TV, so the digital adapter has to be suitable for cable network. See the full brochure for more information about the apartments.
