The apartment application form is available only in electronic format. If you wish to fill in the application at our office, you must still use the computer available for customers there.
As you begin filling in the application, be careful to select the correct application type, especially if you are requesting an internal transfer between apartments. Browse through all the options and find the one that best describes your situation. Also, remember to choose the most suitable starting date for your rental agreement, as we send offers per each application based on the date you have specified.
You can modify the sent application at any time via the tenant pages. If there are changes to your situation, please modify your existing application instead of creating a new one!
Enter the information for all applicants carefully. It is particularly important to check that the Social Security Number is entered correctly and completely for all applicants and also for any children moving with you. Also take extra care that the email address you provide is correct, as we will send credentials for application editing and offer handling to this email address.
You do not need to submit a separate attachment regarding your gross monthly earnings and the taxable value of your assets. Gross monthly earnings refer to the total sum of student allowance and possible other income per month (before taxes and other deductions). The applicant’s own evaluation of income during studies is sufficient. The applicant agrees to submit – if so required at a later date – all necessary documentation related to income, assets, and taxation.
Selecting apartments in your application
In your application, you may select a maximum of five different apartment types/apartments. The applicant can edit these selections later on the tenant pages using the provided personal credentials.
We recommend using apartment types (the Search for apartment types button) when filling in the application, instead of selecting apartments that are shown as available. Information about apartments that are shown as available (using the Search for available apartments button) are not updated in real time but rather, they are suggestive.
If you are willing to accept any apartment type at any location, you can check the checkbox for “I wish to receive all apartment offers”.
Attaching your student certificate to your application
You must always send your student certificate when submitting an application. We cannot process your application before all the required attachments are included. The easiest way to include your student certificate is to attach it directly to your electronic application. You can add a certificate in, for instance, PDF or JPG format to the application. As you attach the certificate, make sure that you can see the attachment in the “Added attachments” section of the application.
The student certificate must include information about your place of study, the starting date of your studies, and the estimated end date of your studies. Approved formats of a student certificate are a certificate of enrolment (you can print this from the school’s intranet) or a picture of your student card with the sticker for the current academic year. If you are only starting your studies, a letter of acceptance from your school will do.
All applicants who are applying for a student apartment must submit a student certificate. This also goes for internal transfers.
Additional information in the application
You may also provide additional information relevant to your apartment needs in the application if need be. Please provide all the information that you wish TYS to acknowledge when processing your application and sending you offers.
